2020 update

Wow, what first quarter of 2020!

Here's a quick summary of what we've been up to and what to expect from us over the next year. With COVID-19 spreading throughout the world and likely to continue affecting us here in New Zealand, we would like to keep you up to date with The Tarn Group's plans to manage the situation. Read here to check out our response.

We've spent this time reflecting on where we have been and what the future of The Tarn Group looks like. As you know, our objective is the same as yours: to equip every one of your people with the best learning opportunities needed to get the job done right.

First things first, we have to say a bittersweet goodbye to Stan. Check out his story here. Stan is off to continue his online education journey, launching a new business venture with his wife Dr Stacy Sims. We wish you both all the best!

Continuing the theme of change, our development team have been working hard behind the scenes of our learning platform Bracken, pulling it apart and giving the individual components a good polish. Our team have been using your feedback to make some notable improvements with the aim of future-proofing the platform. We hope to share these changes with you soon.

We would like to thank all of our loyal customers - we love hearing your stories. 2020 is our year to blossom and take things to the next level when it comes to customer satisfaction. We're all about open communication and we'd love to receive your honest feedback, so when we bloom, it's exactly to your liking.

Finally, we would like to give a quick shout out to a couple of innovative companies who have joined us on our mission. Welcome to Napier Port and Coda! We are excited to work with you and show off what our online education tools can do for your business.

Here are a few words from our CEO, James Nation.

It seems a bit surreal writing this as, when I pulled together the first draft, the world looked quite different to what it does currently. We are thinking of all the businesses out there, their customers and of course the families. It seems rather pertinent that we are talking about online platforms as these (and lots of other technology solutions) will all help businesses cope with the disruption they are facing. The start of the new decade is upon us and our learning platforms are continuing to help our loyal customers reach their goals and develop their people. We are very excited to welcome some great new customers to The Tarn Group portfolio for 2020. Behind the scenes, our development and design team have been busy building Bracken 2.0. We are about to move a selection of clients across to the Beta version of Bracken so we can gather specific feedback on what our customers like and what can be refined. This gives us a chance to hear from Bracken users and manage the progression toward Bracken 2.0, which is scheduled to begin in May. We will keep you updated on our progress. With Steve Stanley moving on from The Tarn Group, Graeme Burborough is taking over the management of his Bracken clients and taking the lead on the video-based assessment platform Ruru. Graeme is extremely knowledgeable in the video space and has already helped a number of our customers with their Ruru trials and implementations, even assisting with the creation of their courses for the year. A number of opportunities to showcase Ruru on the international scene through conferences have unfortunately been postponed or cancelled, notably as an exhibitor at a distinguished Chiropractic Conference in San Diego in March. We pride ourselves on our customer support and this is at the forefront of our mission and will be the core theme for TTG in 2020. We will work closely with you to help achieve your goals with your platform, whether you are a Bracken or Ruru customer. We really appreciate any feedback you have, the good, the not so good and the ugly, as it helps keep us on the right track to give you and your users the best experience. Enough from me, there are plenty of other things to be focusing on given everyone’s current situation. Ka kite ano
