It was awesome to see so many different sports come together to discuss common challenges and give us an opportunity to share the exciting developments coming up.

Curation: Rather than focusing solely on creating things, this trend focuses on curating content for users. Taking advantage of all of the resources available on the internet, and collecting them into one place to produce the best content for your learners.  

Digital Reality: Digital reality is a trend that uses different digital techniques e.g. Augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, to solve real-world business problems and create new sources of competitive advantage.

Instructional Design Tips

Key aspects on how to make content more engaging for your learners.
  • Define your audience to ensure you are delivering relevant content.
  • Update your imagery or branding (evolve content to match your theme, keep it consistent and stick to brand guidelines).
  • Refresh your words, trim unnecessary words, rephrase sentences and update old terms.
  • When selecting background imagery, use the rule of thirds.
