New product: Ruru

The product

This year we launched a new product: Ruru, a video software solution that improves the recording and grading processes of Practical assessments.

The purpose

Ruru was designed to optimise practical assessments, helping assessors achieve their tasks more efficiently while improving students practical skills. Our focus is on improving our professionals, by leveraging video in the assessment of practical skills, simplifying and speeding up the clinical assessment process.

We believe video is an immensely powerful tool - when it comes to detail, accuracy, and repeatability, videos and words capture so much more information than words alone. Ruru allows everyone to review what really happened as opposed to what they thought happened in that brief instant in time.

Ruru is an exciting tool that has entered the nursing education game. It has the potential to transform the way students reflect on their classroom experiences. Having the ability to easily video students' simulations and then for the students to use these to reflect and for the staff to give robust feedback, is exciting for our discipline.
